Refurbishment work to improve Becontree station

Refurbishment work to improve Becontree station as part of Transport for London's (TfL) five-year £10bn investment programme is presently underway.

A replacement bus service will be in operation between Dagenham Heathway and Becontree stations

While this refurbishment work takes place, Becontree station will be closed on the weekends of:

A replacement bus service will be in operation between Dagenham Heathway and Becontree stations.

Valid London Underground tickets will also be accepted on Bus Route No. 145 between Dagenham Heathway and Becontree.

Customers are advised to allow an extra 20 minutes to complete journeys.

The refurbishment works being undertaken by Metronet Rail SSL includes the restoration of heritage features, the replacement of CCTV cameras, installation of customer Help Points, an enhanced public address system, new wall tiles, improved lighting and ceilings and tactile strips on platforms and stairs along with contrasting handrails.
