Transport for London

Central line services this week

24 November 2006

London Underground apologises to passengers for the disruption to Central line services this week.

This was due to a failure in the signalling computer system on Monday when London Underground introduced a new timetable for the Central line. Minor delays occurred on subsequent days while the problems were resolved.

Services have now been restored on the Central line, with the new timetable.

Separately, an act of vandalism at North Acton has today (Friday) caused the suspension of the Central line between North Acton and Ealing Broadway.

Engineers from Metronet who maintain the Central line are now working to repair the damage so that affected services can be restored as quickly as possible.

This weekend there is a partial closure between White City and West Ruislip / Ealing Broadway due to planned engineering works. Replacement buses will operate.
