Improvements at Covent Garden station

07 July 2008

Following work to install more gates at Covent Garden station, which has helped to reduce queues, the next phase of improvements has now started.

These works include the installation of a new PA system and CCTV, 11 new Help points and an electronic information display in the ticket hall.

New customer information signs throughout the station will make it a more accessible and secure environment for customers.

The station will open later from Sunday to Thursday (8:00) and close earlier from Sunday to Wednesday (23:30) while the improvement work is carried out.

These reduced opening hours will start on 13 July and last until 27 November, when normal hours resume for Christmas and sales shopping.

The reduced opening hours restart on 18 January 2009 and last until 26 March that year, when the station improvement work is expected to be completed.
