More trains for Bakerloo line passengers

28 May 2008

New timetable has been introduced on the Bakerloo line benefiting around 7,000 people a day.

The changes see services terminating at Stonebridge Park instead of Willesden Junction, which means there are three more Bakerloo line trains per hour in each direction between Stonebridge Park and Willesden Junction.

This is a direct result of London Underground taking over control of the Bakerloo line stations north of Queen's Park.

The first southbound train of the day now departs from Stonebridge Park, not Queen's Park - meaning an earlier first train towards central London for people at Stonebridge Park, Harlesden, Willesden Junction and Kensal Green.

In addition, the frequency of London Overground services has been increased to three trains per hour off-peak, which is the same as the peak service.

Previously, the service was two trains per hour outside of peak hours.

As part of these changes there is also now an increased staff presence at Stonebridge Park station.
