Transport for LondonTfL website wins internet Oscar
TRANSPORT for London's (TfL's) website has won the Webby People's Voice Award in the best Government website section, thanks to people voting from around the world.
The Webby Awards recognise excellence on the internet and presents two honours - The Webby Award and The People's Voice Award - in each of its four catagories: websites, interactive advertising, online film and video, and mobile.
TfL's website received the most votes in the best Government website section. Other nominees were Peace Corps, EnergyStar@home, San Francisco International Airport and the city site 'Secrets of New York'.
The Webbys are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a 550-member body of leading web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and celebrities.
