tfl.gov.uk - one stop for London travel information

26 March 2007

TRANSPORT for London (TfL) has launched a new website driven by extensive research with its passengers.

From London commuters to one off tourists, the new tfl.gov.uk is now your first port of call to find out about getting around London.

Caroline Little, head of new media at TfL, said: 'The new tfl.gov.uk is now the easiest place to access a range of services from real-time travel information to topping up an Oyster card.

'With 10million journeys a day across the TfL network, we've listened to our passengers and made it easier for them to get essential information from the site.

'All the information passengers need to know about the Tube, bus, Docklands Light Railway and river services, walking and cycling, is now at their finger tips.'

Reliable and accessible travel information and services covering the TfL network are vital to Londoners and visitors, and the new site will make planning journeys and making payments more straightforward.

Users will have direct access to key services such as live travel updates, online Oyster information, Congestion Charge details and the Journey Planner straight from the homepage. The site will also continue to provide ticket information and special passenger offers, together with corporate and business information.

Caroline Little continued: 'The enhancements to the website, coupled with network improvements brought about by TfL's £10billion Investment Programme, are central to improving passengers' journeys.'
