Science on the move
A NEW collection of poems are now on display in Tube carriages to commemorate 350 years of the Royal Society - the world's oldest science academy.
The six poems highlight the very different responses to scientific discoveries made between 1800 and the present day.
Among the poets are Blake, Tennyson and Miroslav Holub, who was also a renowned Czech scientist.

Metropolitan line upgrade
SOUTHBOUND Metropolitan line trains will not stop at Baker Street, from Monday until February 19, for work to accommodate new airconditioned trains.
Trains terminating at Baker Street will not be affected.
In order to complete the work, there will also be no service between Moorgate and Aldgate stations between March 1-5.
Circle line trains will also not stop at Aldgate.
The first air-conditioned train will be in service this summer, with an additional 58 in operation by 2011.
There will be further closures later in the year to prepare for the new trains which will affect stations on the north of the line.
During this time, an enhanced Chiltern Railways service will run between Marylebone and Harrow-on-the-Hill which takes 15 minutes.

Sutton's cycling success
CYCLING in Sutton has increased by 75 per cent following a three-year pioneering green travel programme introduced by Transport for London (TfL).
The initiative, called Smarter Travel Sutton, has been delivered in partnership with the London Borough of Sutton and aimed to encourage residents to travel by public transport, on foot or by bike.
A final annual report, published yesterday, also shows a 16 per cent increase in the number of people taking the bus and a six per cent fall in the proportion of residents' journeysmade by car.
The report also reveals that all of the borough's 68 schools had a travel plan in place by March 2008, two years ahead of government targets.
Additionally, more than 16,000 employees in Sutton now work for organisations that have a travel plan.
