Transport for London

Winter wander-land weekend

25 January 2010

IF you're suffering from cabin fever or seasonal excess, why not stretch out and join one of 30 Transport for London-sponsored walks this weekend.

These free walks have been organised by Walk London and will be led by its expert guides, or official City of London guides.

The 'Winter Wanders' weekend offers great walks up to ten miles long across the seven routes that make up the capital's 350-mile Strategic Walk Network.

These include routes leading to the site of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

There's no need to pre-book, just turn up on the day.

If you are unable to join in, but are still interested in going on a walk, you can download audio files to your MP3 player from the Walk London website.

For full walk details, go to www.walklondon.org.uk

Alternatively, call the information hotline on 0870 240 6094 which will be open until Sunday.
