Transport for London

Do you know your film lines?

27 October 2009

WITH many cinema-goers still enjoying the London Film Festival (in full swing until Thursday), Transport for London has released new posters in its 'Know your lines' campaign, which celebrates film-making in the capital.

The joint initiative, between London Underground and Film London, displays famous lines from films set in the city on a series of posters around the Tube network.

The new posters include one with a snippet from the newly released 'Fantastic Mr Fox', which stars the voices of George Clooney and Meryl Streep, and is based on the Roald Dahl book.

Adrian Wootton, chief executive officer of Film London, said: 'As one of the most distinctive and widely-used film locations in the world, London has inspired many truly memorable movies.

'Using famous and classic quotations from some of our best films, this partnership with London Underground is an excellent way to recognise a selection of great film-making talent.'
