Safety message targets young drivers
Last year, young drivers were involved in 3,822 collisions - almost 67 per cent were male drivers.
This month TfL and the London Safety Camera Partnership are reminding young drivers to consider the consequences of speeding, driving uninsured or without a licence, with a poster campaign.
When caught, an offence can result in fines, points, a lost licence or even cost drivers their freedom.
Chris Lines, head of the London Road Safety Unit at TfL, said: 'This campaign once again reminds young drivers of the consequences of dangerous driving.
'Speeding is often a significant factor in road collisions and last year 5,402 people were injured in collisions involving young drivers.
'Research shows that the consequences of losing your licence will affect more than your ability to drive. It can affect your job, your finances and even your freedom.'
