Creative options for the autumn break

HALF-TERM is just around the corner and there are heaps of events in the capital designed to keep your youngsters entertained.

Your only problem will be deciding where to go. Here are some of the events to choose from next week.

The Big Draw
A month of drawing and art themed activities are taking place throughout October across London (left). There are plenty of interactive workshops and events where kids can unleash their creative sides.

London Transport Museum
Budding gardeners shouldn't miss next week's events. You can construct a secret garden, make an eco-pot from recycled paper and even create a spooky spider.

Cartoon Museum
There's a cartoonist in residence, with lots to make and do. And the first-floor gallery includes original artwork loaned by publications including the Beano and the Dandy.

Firepower, The Royal Artillery Museum
A museum dedicated to the soldiers of the Royal Artillery. The Real Weapons gallery allows the firing of (mini) cannons and youngsters can join a drill class run by a fearsome sergeant major.
