Transport for London

Be the fabric of London life

18 August 2009

HAVE you got what it takes to create a new fabric design for Tube seats?

From graphics to roundels, Tube stations to textiles, London Underground is steeped in a history of innovative design.

As part of the upgrade of the capital's transport system, Transport for London (TfL) is holding a competition to design a new seating fabric - also known as moquette - for use on the Underground system.

The winning design will launch on the Piccadilly line before being adopted across the network and seen by 3.5million people a day.

The competition deadline is 5pm on Monday, 14 September, 2009.

For more information, including a full brief and terms and conditions, go to tfl.gov.uk/shop and click on 'Moquette competition'.
