Transport for London (TfL) is a statutory corporation established by section 154 of the Greater London Authority Act 1999 (GLA Act 1999). It is a functional body of the Greater London Authority (GLA) which reports to the Mayor of London.

TfL has the following operating subsidiaries: London Underground Limited, London Bus Services Limited, London Buses Limited (trading as East Thames Buses and Dial-a-Ride), Victoria Coach Station Limited, Docklands Light Railway Limited and London River Services Limited.
