Woolwich station has two areas intended for development, both above the station itself. We also have some surplus land over the tunnel entrance. The extension of the Docklands Light Railway to Woolwich will make this development even more attractive for investors.
Our plans are for a major mixed use development. This would see flats on the upper floors and shops and leisure facilities on the ground floor.
We are at our second stage of marketing, having short-listed four developers from the first stage.
We aim to start work on the site in 2009, once we have appointed an approved developer. Planning permission will depend on decisions taken by the London Borough of Greenwich.
