We carry out conveyancing railway searches for properties that are affected by existing and proposed Tube services, or by proposed transit, tram and rail schemes.

We can also provide advice if a property is affected by schemes for which TfL is seeking compulsory purchase powers.

Required information

The full property address including postcode
A copy of the Land Registry Title plan or an Ordnance Survey Plan extract (at 1:1250 scale) identifying the property
A cheque for the fee, as appropriate, made payable to 'Transport for London'

Fees and payment

Payment is required in advance for conveyancing searches. The current fees are:

£138.00 inclusive of VAT at 15 per cent for a single residential property
£207.00 inclusive of VAT at 15 per cent for commercial properties, development sites or multiple residential properties

There is no charge for providing information about proposed Tube, transit tram or rail schemes, or properties that are affected by compulsory purchase orders promoted by TfL.

What we provide

We provide information about existing and proposed Tube services, and proposed transit, tram and railway schemes, and provide a relevant Ordnance Survey 1:1250 scale location plan as appropriate
We may also provide information about any easements, wayleaves, grants, consents, leases, licences or other arrangements which affect the property that benefit TfL
We provide information about tunnel depths and provide a location plan as appropriate
Where a property is affected by Crossrail proposals, we will also forward your enquiry to the Crossrail safeguarding teams
