Uses
The vacancy list gives you an idea as to what is appropriate for each arch. We will consider most light industrial and storage uses other than vehicle repairs and any that require the use of or storage of flammable gases. This is subject to planning requirements.
If you need more information or wish to see one of the vacant units, telephone the contact which appears on the list.
Applying
If you wish to make an offer for a vacant unit complete and submit the Application for retail premises (PDF 58KB).
We will send you a letter or email confirming receipt.
Improvement works
We may ask you to engage an approved contractor to prepare a detailed plan and specification showing any alterations required to the premises and to undertake the works to meet Underground standards. Read more in a Guide to alterations and works (PDF 198KB).
Terms
The usual lease terms are a three-year agreement, contracted out of the security of tenure and compensation provisions of the Landlord and Tenant Acts.
Charges
If the rent is agreed, you will need to pay us:
- One quarter's rent in advance
- One quarter's rent to be held as a rent deposit
- Legal costs of approx £750.
Rental charges are between £60 and £120 per sq metre, depending on the quality and location of the space.
If you are seeking to use a limited liability company as the tenant of premises, we will need a director to guarantee the rent obligations.
