Operator league tables

Our league tables will help you measure your performance against other operators. You can get a breakdown of mileage and reliability information, showing current and previous operator performance and positions.

League tables help operators measure their performance against other operators

High frequency - Excess Waiting (PDF 30KB)

Shows the performance and position of each operator for the time passengers have to wait in excess of the average scheduled waiting time between buses, based on the variance from the minimum standards.

High frequency - Long gaps (PDF 27KB)

Shows the performance and position of each operator for the chance of waiting twice the scheduled interval between buses, based on the variance from minimum standards.

Low frequency - On time (PDF 28KB)

Shows the performance and position of each operator for the chance of a bus arriving on time, based on the variance from minimum standards.

Low frequency - % early (PDF 27KB)

Shows the performance and position of each operator for the chance of a bus running early, based on the variance from minimum standards.

Night Buses (PDF 29KB)

Shows the performance and position of each operator for the chance of a night bus arriving on time, based on their actual performance.

Mileage operated before losses due to traffic (PDF 25KB)

Shows the performance and position of each operator for the amount of mileage operated against a schedule, before taking into account mileage lost due to traffic.

Actual operated mileage (PDF 25KB)

Shows the performance and position of each operator for the amount of mileage operated against a schedule, taking into account all losses.

Traffic Lost Mileage (PDF 25KB)

Shows the performance and position of each operator for the amount of mileage lost due to traffic.

Common questions

Why do we produce the reports?

The reports show how operators have been performing against a number of reliability and mileage performance measures, most in relation to the variance from standards set. They also show current and previous performance of all operators by position, and a network average for further comparisons.

Who do they go to?

We distribute the reports internally as well as to operators.

Why do operators receive the reports?

They show them a summary of their performance by current and previous position, compared against all other operators.

What benefit are they to them?

They help operators to measure their performance against all other operators, as well as variances from standards and network averages.

Where does the data come from?

We get mileage data from a system holding scheduled and operated mileage by day and route. We use a data query system to process 4 weekly totals. Reliability data for a rolling 12 week period comes from Quality Service Indicators (QSI) monitoring systems.
